African Way at the 5th Edition of the Feira da Diversidade®

1st Eco Camp African Way joined the European Day of Sustainable Communities
August 21, 2022On the 13th and 14th of August 2022, African Way participated as an exhibitor and dynamic partner in the 5th Edition of the Feira da Diversidade®, held in Vilar Formoso – Portugal.
The Feira da Diversidade® is a social and corporate event, promoted and organized by CAMPINTEGRA - Associação para o Desenvolvimento Social e Ambiental (IPSS - Private Social Solidarity Institution), a partner organization of African Way - Associação para a Cooperação e o Desenvolvimento Sustentável.
The Feira da Diversidade® is one of the projects that involves a partnership of mutual collaboration between the two entities. There is even the possibility of co-organizing with the African Way for the next edition of the Feira da Diversidade®, scheduled to be held in Montemor-o-Novo, in 2023.
According to Joshua Konkankon, elder leader of the African Way, participation in the 5th Edition of the Feira da Diversidade® was an opportunity to provide national visibility in this first year of activity, since the African Way is still in its embryonic stage in Portugal (African Way was formalized in October 2021).
As an Exhibitor Partner of the 5th Edition of the Feira da Diversidade®, African Way had at its disposal a 3m2 stand, where we welcomed and exchanged ideas with other partivipants and the public in a more reserved and enabling space. In this space, African Way exhibited and offered some products from the HVAP Program – High Value Agricultural Products. The stand was also used as a support point to promote the African Way and its projects (mainly the 1st Eco Camp African Way event to be held in September 2022); as well as to attract new associates and/or partners.
As a Dynamic Partner of the 5th Edition of the Feira da Diversidade®, African Way developed three activities.
ACTIVITY 1: Talk African Way with Joshua Konkankoh – Strengthening South North Partnerships
ACTIVITY 2: Traditional African Dance Performance by African Way and Better World Cameroon
ACTIVITY 3: Live Streaming – Indigenous and Modern Connections for System Change
This was without a doubt a moment of interaction and fraternization with the Portuguese public and partners. We hope to do it again in 2023.
