Joshua Konkankoh
Indigenous knowledge, Economy of Love and Mystical Power
Konkankoh is one of the founders and elder of the African Way Association. He says the world is really at a crossroads and he is excited about this opportunity for change. He is passionate about indigenous knowledge because he believes it is the missing link. His passion is to bring this regenerative thinking into the world. He sees activism as a way of putting things in focus.
Crystel Koh
Global/Local Sustainability and Empowering Women
Crystel is one of the founders of the African Way Association. She started working in Youth Empowerment and Sustainability, facilitating camps, including Erasmus+ programs. She became more interested in these topics through her work with BWC in Global Development, as she could see how global sustainability will only be achieved through local sustainability.
Celestine Nchang
Nursing, Conflict Care, Midwifery and Alternative Medicine
Celestine’s father was a nurse and she grew up around a hospital environment, which helped her develop a strong interest in medicine. In her home country, Cameroon, Celestine worked to provide humanitarian aid to refugees and internally displaced people due to the civil war.. With the opportunity to be in Europe, Celestine intends to continue her studies, with a focus on alternative medicine and well-being.
Elizabeth Nyemkuma
Natural Food, Heath, Healing and Sustainable Lifestyle
Elizabeth has a degree in Business Administration, but her passions are permaculture and natural health. She is an advocate of natural nutrition and believes in the great potential of High Value Agricultural Products – HVAP. Growing food in regenerative systems and producing fashion and craft materials and beauty cosmetics using local natural resources are Elizabeth's big bets in the African Way Association.
Grace Bineh
Traditional Culture and Food and Non-Formal Education
Grace is passionate about traditional culture, language and food. She grew up in Yaounde, the capital of Cameroon. She has always had an interest for non-formal education and a passion for traditional culture. Grace’s passions are teaching, eco-building, exploring the traditional ways, producing healthy food, building rocket stoves, creating high-value agriculture products for small producers and Fair Trade opportunities.
Herman Koh
Youth and Sustainable Lifestyles
Herman is a global citizen who advocates for change in the world, by helping young people identify personal development opportunities to grow their potential, encourage them with materials that transforms their minds and empower them to learn skills that enable them become more valuable assets to their communities.
João Correia
Perceptive Psychopedagogy-Fasciatherapy
João studies practices of somatic and embodied learning, generative dialogue, and relationship with the natural world focused on social development and well-being, leadership, and deep-ecology such as Perceptual Somatic-Psychopedagogy MDB, Dance, Nonviolent Communication, Biodanza, and Way of Council.
Malcolm Koh
Technology, Art and Tradition
Malcolm is passionate about telling stories, art and technology. A lot of your work has been focused on entrepreneurship, to use technology to improve skills and grow your personal and collective projects. Malcolm feels that technology can be use to create a better life for people and consequently to pursuit of a better world.
Rainer Hettenbach
Instructor/Technical Advisor of Eco-Bulding Program
Since October 2022, Rainer Hettenbach is a member and instructor/technical advisor of the African Way Association in Portugal, responsible for the Eco-Bulding Program as well for the Eco-Village Restauration Program in Bafut/Cameroon. For Rainer, our wealthy society is presently undergoing an unprecidented paradigm shift. More than ever it is realised, that the the world communitys sustanability grows with a sustainable network; its growing is the logical consequence of an honnest and open intercultural exchange, where trustfulness, love and peace is the unfailable pre-condition, to achieve the survival in a healthy
and intact environment.
Sonita Mbah
Permaculture and Ecovillage Design Education
Sonita has a Master's degree in Integrative EcoSocial Design from the University of Gaia. She is a NextGEN-Africa representative and Bafut Ecovillage / BWC NGO project coordinator. His most relevant areas of work are youth entrepreneurship, intercultural education programs through youth camps and other community initiatives related to climate change adaptation. His passion for social change led her to explore food security, cultural heritage and the green economy as possible solutions to rural Africa's rising unemployment rate.
